dude, terrible advice btw.... people who live in franklinton call it franklinton, trust me. im sure the folks that refer to it as the "bottoms" are folks that your not likely to hang out with. :wink: i and many others live here and we do not call it the bottoms.

:lol: no... I'm thinking his alias is drewtoothpaste, but I'm going out on a limb there! :roll: I saw he had posted several times on Sunday, and it reminded me of the comic strip which I stumbled upon years ago. I think I will send him a PM to get to the bottom of this drew-mystery. :)

I thought you might opine on the subject :wink: I've never heard any positive connotations with "the bottoms", and couldn't imagine anyone living there using that name without a trace of irony. I think and hope there can be a positive transformation of that area without some of the 'gentrification' issues other neighborhoods have dealt with (Flag Wars anyone?).

one the of the beautiful things about this neighborhood right now is that there are 3-4 developers most are 5013c that are building affordable housing. the homes are sold to low to low moderate income families and they OWN them.
that is a recipe for a truly diverse area. with that going on and having alot of the old community so involved i dont think those issues will be an issue.

the link you have posted there was an article about a conceptual plan that was created as a school project from the planning school at OSU. it was def a fictional overlay, but in the future who knows.... it was funny to see the old timers at the presentation get all worked up and upset. i had to remind them that this was all not really going to happen, the plan was like a novel so to speak. :wink:
