Graeter's Press Release
CINCINNATI – March 5, 2009 – Graeter’s today announced tentative plans to build a new ice cream facility in the City of Cincinnati, pending approval from City Council and finalization of pending incentive and assistance packages with the State of Ohio. The final decision is conditional upon formal approval by the State's Tax Credit Authority and other agencies.
The 28,000-square-foot plant, which will be located on Paddock Road in Bond Hill, will accommodate Graeter’s planned distribution into new markets. Initially, there are plans to create 30 jobs at this new site, with the potential for additional jobs within several years. The cost of the building project is approximately $11 million.
“Our goal is to bring the irresistible taste of Graeter’s ice cream to new friends through expanded distribution across the USA,†stated Richard Graeter, President and CEO. “This expansion means that we need additional capacity here in Cincinnati.â€ÂPosted 3 years ago # -

Why eat Graeter's when you can eat Jeni's?
Posted 3 years ago # -
I am not a big ice cream fan, and to me Graeter's is nothing special. I think if you like heavy, sugary, creamy, chocolate-laden stuff it might be the thing for you. But Jeni's? Jeni's is the greatest ice cream EVER MADE! Jeni's is lighter, unique, flavorful (not just sweet). Fortunately I don't have to go out of my way to get it, as I am located in the lucky triangulation of the North Market, Grandview and Short North locations.
