It's the vernal equinox! What does that mean? Well, as far as I understand it, this is best celebrated by volunteering for a couple of hours in your favorite park. Let's have another great work day. Come to the shelterhouse anytime after 9:00. Our Volunteer Coordinator, Julie, will be on hand to check you in and get you started. Bring garden gloves and tools, if you have them.

We provide tools to anyone who needs them, but we do recommend you bring your own gloves. If you're a gardener who has your own tools, then hand pruners, trowels, shovels, and wheelbarrows come in handy at nearly all of our work days.

Absolutely. Trash pickup is one thing anyone can do. Here's one of our youngest helpers picking up leaves last year:

Just heard back on some of the tasks volunteers will have to choose from. The guys would like to prune suckers, fix/move sod, sweep the pond beds & tennis courts, litter pickup, rake around some of the trees, and work in the pond beds that had some snow the last work day.
