Grrrreat time in the park today! Awesome job, Blammo!! I especially liked your "solos!"
I don't know who Alex paid for the amazing weather, but I wonder if she can do it for the rest of the summer!!

Thanks everyone. It was a rockin' good time! Well, as rockin' as bluegrass gets, anyway. Looking forward to next week with Megan Palmer & the Hopefuls!

Blammo, I'm so sorry I missed the set but you looked great on Good Day Columbus this morning!

Crap, did they run that again? Everyone seems to have seen me & Alex on TV…except for me & Alex! Did I sound in tune? lol

Yeah, saw both chrisgillespie and blammo on TV, really wish I woulda come down for that. Luvs me some Bluegrass. (recent convert)
Bluegrass bands are such an under-appreciated talent - those boys are SERIOUS artisans/musicians. Aren't upright basses really difficult to play and play well? fretless?

Luvs me some Bluegrass. (recent convert)I will also just say that for anyone who likes bluegrass, or suspects that they might, Byrne's Pub (Grandview area, corner of 3rd & Northwest) has hosted the Bluegrass Happy Hour from 7-9 every Friday for the past 5 years. It's FREE and there's a wide variety of different local acts that play there. Check it out…"it don't cost nuthin!"

For those of you plotting and planning your weekend get downs...don't forget there's music in the park again this Sunday...Megan Palmer and the Hopefuls...music runs from noon until 1:30 at the Gazebo. Her Comfest set at the Gazebo was amazing, and I'm sure this one will be too!

If Mr. Bubbles posts any irrelevant jackass videos in this thread I will hunt him down and strangle him with my bare hands.

To Mr. Bubbles knowledge he did not post a video Sir Vestanpance. He simply said he would be at Goodale Park to spread dance fever and support the cause. As for osulew, I will be attending music Vest and will make sure you won't have to get Patrick Swayze Roadhouse on me and my suit.

There is something about Mr. Bubbles that reminds me of Disco Stu of The Simpsons fame.
Posted 2 years ago # -
Except Disco Stu doesn't advertise.
