We got a letter in the mail from a local Honda dealership that wanted to buy our car from us due to a shortage. Sounded like we might actually get more money selling it than what we paid for it (used) less than a year ago. Crazy.
Anyone sold a car recently, or considering it due to the rising value of used cars?

In a reversal of roles, your auto dealer now wants to buy your car. A tight supply of used cars is leading dealers to take unusual steps to stock their lots. Many dealers are willing to buy cars from the public, even from people who are not also buying cars.
Among the reasons for the shortage is that people are hanging onto their cars longer than they usually do.
