I'm looking to buy some 1 inch clear glass tiles for tiling a backspash.
Can someone suggest a good cheap tile place?
Hamilton Parker wants a left leg. Even Sears wants about $20 a sq. foot.
In Chicago they had a big warehouse that sold odd lots of tile. Either left over from a job or left over run from a manufacturer. Is there any place like that here?

Anywho...you can actually find the tiles on ebay. We fell in love with some glass backsplash tile at Hamilton Parker for $28/sf. My SO then found the exact same design on ebay for $8/sf.
If you're buying in online, order a few extra square feet to accommodate any chipping/breaking of tile during shipping.

After redoing the kitchen I had cherry cabinets, glass fronts, black granite, bamboo floors and brick walls
I was going to do a nice rustic tumbled marble backsplash when I realized that I had to many elements going on already. A nice one inch tile should echo the glass cabinet fronts with glass picked out at Franklin Glass.

Just to close the loop on this.
I went to Habitat for Humanity looking to pick up some cheap stuff for my never ending rehabbing.
That place is expensive!
sacks of cement that are $4 at lowes are $10.
Bricks are $1 a piece.
4" pots of Kale were $3, while 10" pots were $1.99 at Oakland.
I'm all for supporting charities but selling stuff at twice what the retail value is won't work for me.
