Good place for Sunday brunch downtown/Short North?

IMPRESSIONS: Due Amici is one of the anchor restaurants in the still-budding section of Gay St. downtown. This strip of restaurants, hotels, and shops is defying the difficult lack of crowds downtown outside of the Monday to Friday working hours. Due Amici is known for producing some high quality Italian fare throughout the week, but one of their big weekends draws is, of course, their brunch.

Agreed. My favorite place (in general). I always crave the West of the Pecos Nachos. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

So, I'm an old guy looking for a place to go to brunch on Sunday -- this Sunday -- in Downtown or the Short North, or nearby.
I've checked a lot of great menus online, including Betty's and Surly Girl.
(I'd check Banana Bean's menu, but it's a dead link.)
But so far as I can tell, nobody offers reservations. This is a travesty -- a Travesty! You hear me! -- in dealing with folks with sore backs and bad knees.
What is it? We want only the beautiful people to eat Downtown? Or are you thinking that, because we can't get around that well, our taste buds have died and we should just go to Denny's?

I've driven by the Banana Bean in the early evening a couple of days this week and there was no one in the parking lot, I do not think they're in business anymore.

I had a great experience at Due Amici recently. Go a bit early (11)) and you shouldn't have any trouble getting a table. Those spicy blood marys are tremendously good. I'd recommend against Banana Bean, sadly.

I'd recommend Latitude 41 - they'll take a ressie, you can valet park for cheap, and they have a killer brunch menu.

You might try Sage American Bistro. http://sageamericanbistro.com/brunch.php
their brunch is amazing and they may take reservations. I know I made a reservation for an Easter Sunday once.

I'd recommend against Banana Bean, sadly.

Denny's doesn't do reservations either. ;)

I think Lindey's is another place that takes reservations for brunch. Not far from downtown.

Barrio at Spring and High for Sunday brunch is amazing - order the Sangria. The food is awesome and the place is very cool - great ambience and scene - great, great value as well - you will feel like you in South Beach on Oceanside Drive - good spot check it out!
