I've heard good things about Winking Lizard and Bobs Bar but I haven't been to either.
Winking Lizard has a GREAT beer selection, but I hate the atmosphere. It's too generic sports-bar ish for my liking.

really? from the other thread?
i'm not a fan of winking lizard either. they are way too expensive.

see what happens when you don't exclude the winking lizard up front? i went into that place before I ever lived in Columbus. some guy started talking to us, and he was wearing what seemed to be a dead ferrett chained to his belt. i've never been back.
i also hear good things about the selection at Bob's Bar, which is near (but across from) that Target shopping plaza up north of Clintonville on High. Here's their domestic and draft list: http://www.bobsbar.com/custom/doms.asp
thats kind of sad there's only one bar. and pretty much on the other side of town. i need to do research.
Your side of town blows. Accept it.
oh you mean any other side then downtown or SN? ok.

You know what happens when you assume.
i don't assume.
and thanks to everyone else. i'll try out bob's sometime.
Winking Lizard. They have the world tour of beers there. You sign up and try like every beer or some shit. It was the spot for a good beer selection before Bodega, but their draft selection is nowhere close to Bodega, tons of bottles though.
Winking Lizard- stellar selection, solid food, world of beer tour, good sports bar for games, kinda expensive, not that fun when there's not a game on
Bob's Bar- been meaning to check it out but like you Angel, a little out of the way
Brazenhead Dublin- just like the one in Grandview, only different. Nice pub atmosphere, good barstaff, good selection
Gallo's Taproom- on Bethel and Olentangy by the Kmart. Crappy location, but they carry some really good beers (La Fin du Monde, Great Lakes, Rogue, etc), they're reasonably priced, have some really good specials (like the aforementioned beers for $3 certain days), and most importantly, they carry FRIED PIEROGIS!!!!
Finally, if all else fails, go to The Andersons. They have the best booze selection in town, and it's cheaper since you have to take the booze home or to a friend's to enjoy it.
i love love love gallos. their grilled cheese is super too.
plus tommy (the owner) is one of the nicest guys ever. it is a big osu bar though, brent. ;)
thanks. i haven't been in andersons yet!

fixed it
i've never experienced that there.
probably because you werent lookin. people go to gallo's, that bw3 on bethel, and halftimes, to buy coke. i have known people to sit in those bars all night long and sell a shitload of it. you get the kids that go to osu, but have a little more money than the average osu student, so they move out there, they think cocaine is cool, and yada yada. couldnt tell you how many people i have met that go to gallos and lived in OTC that are fiends.
Does The Andersons have a better selection than Palmers? That's my go-to, especially since Pace-High bit the dust.
i've been to all of those places and never once to buy coke or have seen any coke. i guess people go there to drink and socialize too!
i like halftime's patio.
Since you are in the Dublin area you may want to check out the little liquor store in the Karrick Square Shopping Center.
I don't remember the name of it, but it is near Cosmo's.
They have a good beer selection (I go there for Asahi) and they will let you split 6 packs if you ask them first.
