I am tired of sucking at golf, tired of pretending like I know what I'm doing. Can anyone recommend a person/place with good private instruction? Just looking to get in a few lessons, thanks.

I personally recommend Rocky Miller or JR Ables at Ables Golf on Avery Rd. JR is a bit more expensive, but he's one of the top instructors in the state. Rocky Miller also gives great lessons at a fraction of the cost.
Super nice guys, very professional.

I've been to 7 or 8 different instructors over the years, including JR Ables, and Matt Smith is far and away the best I've encountered. He used to teach at Four Season on Broad but now he's the head instructor at Pinnacle Golf Club. He's pricey, but worth it.
