For all the Golfers out there what's your favorite public course in/around Columbus? Also, I did do a search before I asked this and didn't see anything.

I don't play a lot because of the cost. Gahanna has a public 9 hole course you can walk for $9 with cart $15. It's not the best but it's not bad and it costs $9.

If you don't mind driving a little up 71 I would check out Bent Tree. It's a really nice course. If you're looking for something cheap and local go for Raymond Memorial. The food stand even serves Schmidts Sausages.

I've golfed Raymond Memorial twice and thought it was pretty nice. The Schmidts was def. the best part about it. I actually have a tee time for Bent Tree this sunday. From the website it looks really nice. We played Oak Haven the other day up in Deleware County and that course wasn't too bad either.

Bent Tree is really nice. You'll love it.

I like Mentel Memorial near Bolten Airport, its fairly cheap but challenging for the average hack like me and my foursome

Raymond Memorial is my go-to course for the same reasons as above. Next is probably Blacklick. It's definitely nicer, but it's also farther, more expensive, and more difficult (more trees! more water!)

Just finished my round at Raymond. Nice deep bunkers. Easy if you hit it straight, less if you hit it left/right. I play once a week in a league there.

I love Bent Tree and Blackhawk (I think that is the name).
I had a hole in one a couple of years ago at a private course I used to belong to and ever since then I have not played as frequently.
What about a CU golf outing? OMG that would be so fun. I want my foursome to be Hazy, Roland and Merc.

Enzo, you amaze me nearly daily. You like nice suits, golf and you work in an office; yet you give off this ultra hippie vibe. You are by far the most interesting person on here.

I second Blacklick. That's my favorite muni-course in town. I walked it once though...in 90+ degree heat. I'm never walking it again, that's for sure. I was impressed with the difficulty and how well it was maintained.
But that's definitely a late in the season course for me. I usually play Turnberry early in the season until I shake the rust off.

I played Mill Creek last night. Not a bad place and prices are reasonable. Also, if you're in a rut and need a good round, it's not that difficult either.

Mill Creek is my uncle's course. Super nice people and it's where Ben Curtis learned to play.

I'm more used to Dayton/Cinci area courses, played Bent Tree with the guys in high school (we didn't have a women's team but being the only girl was tops). The only other course I've played around here is the Scarlet and Grey, which really brought out my Buckeye spirit and all the cash I had in my student-sized wallet.
I don't really know other golfers in Columbus yet, but would like to check out Blackhawk sometime. A CU golf outing would rock my world, great idea Enzo!

I played some goat track off Agler road one day...it was horrible.
River Run in Cincy/Lebanon...ultra hard course. I love golf. Yoooo Hooo Walker can we do a CU golf meet up???

Favorite Cincy municipal course is Shawnee Lookout. There's a few blind shots and the scenery really good.

Sure, if you want to plan it and set it up. Go for it.
I suck at golf, so I'm out. ;)

I played Bent Tree this weekend....tough course. Well, not all of it, but some holes were really tough. I have a tee-time for Northstar for this Thursday. I hear good things about it. Anyone want to take me to play Scioto :)
