Although I don't think Anna Paquin is particularly good in true blood and she got the nom also.

I think a lot of people (including myself) would've loved to see Sharlto Copley get a nomination for his acting in District 9. Having never acted in a movie before, he was nothing short of amazing in a lead role in that film.

They have the wrong link for Nine, they're linking it to the animated movie, but its the DDL movie that's nominated. Other than Walz, I'm pretty "meh" on the Motion Picture options...that said...
Best TV Series, Drama: Should go to Mad Men again. Between the JFK assassination episode and the finale, just a truly brilliant show.
Best Actress, Drama: Gotta go with January Jones. She was amazing this year (and insanely hot, but that's just a bonus).
Best Actor, Drama: Gotta go with Dexter on this one, especially this year with a ton of character development and completely new aspects of his personality.
Best Series, Comedy: 30 Rock again. Entourage wasn't good this year, Glee lost me quick, The Office is way past its finest hour. Glee could win it just for being daring, but meh.
Best Actress, Comedy: Should go to Toni Collete, even if you don't like the show, she is fantastic.
Best Actor, Comedy: Like to see this go to Duchovny.
Supporting Actress, TV: I like Rose Byrne for this. Her character's become an extremely complex role, and she's earned it.
Supporting Actor, TV: Michael Emerson is his character.

The Golden Globes are a joke. The membership is made up of the 80 journalists who belong to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. None of these members writes for a US publication. With such a small voting pool, in some cases a movie can win its category by garnering only 5 or 6 votes. Worst of all, members of the HFPA do not have the same restrictions that members of the AMPAS have with regard to gifts, travel, and payola. Bribery is rampant. So each year the studios spend millions trying to court the favor of these 80 journalists in order to gain some extra publicity and "prestige" in advance of Oscar season.
Seriously, the Golden Globes are like two steps below the MTV Movie Awards. Nobody takes them seriously. Please, for the good of pop culture, do not pay attention to them.

I don't pay attention to any award shows as far as what I go see at the theater/on TV. (and it shows by all the crappy horror flicks I see) But that doesn't mean the gloden globes are not entertaining and good face value pop culture IMO. I don’t care if one person chooses all the winners.

Maybe there will be some recognition for my new favorite show: Sons Of Anarachy(FX0. If you have not seen it check it out. Season 2 just ended. You can get season 1 on DVD, and alos probably watch episodes on line. Katey Sagal is incredable! Ron Perlman and Charlie Humman are great too.
