I'm confused why you are asserting the superiority of Cincinnati while looking for ingredients to a Kentucky dish?

I thought most groceries had steel cut oats - Whole Foods does, and my local Giant Eagle does, too.

So does Kroger, Trader Joe's, WalMart and about everywhere else that might call itself a grocery store.

I'm not sure how "the 'nati" does it, but I'd start there.

If Columbusites that move to Cincinnati decided to live on the West Side we would have this goetta information. But we always wuss out and move to the East Side or close to UC. Therefore that information doesn't transfer. It took 20 years for cornhole to make the leap to the East Side where Columbusites could eventually get wind of it. Therefore, I have no tips for making goetta in your hOOOme.
