Hello! We have received permission from all parties involved to go ahead with the mural on the corner of Hudson and Summit. Currently, the Code Enforcement Officers are heavily encouraging the owners to repaint the wall immediately so that they are no longer in violation of neighborhood codes. That means we need to step up and help the owners by priming the wall to get ready to paint the mural in a few months. There are two dates of note that Wild Goose Creative would like to announce:
Community Priming: Saturday, April 9 from 9am - 5pm
For the "Community Priming," we will need all the volunteers we can get to bring paint sprayers, brushes, pans, rollers, etc... to help us get the wall painted and ready for mural time this summer. If anyone would like to provide us with financial support to buy paint and supplies, that would be wonderful as well. Wild Goose Creative is a 501(c)(3) and your donations would be tax-deductible. Email me at info(at)wildgoosecreative.com if you are interested.
Community Mural Art Brainstorm Meeting: Sunday, April 17 from 1-3:30pm (at Wild Goose Creative)
The Community Mural Art Brainstorm Meeting will take place at Wild Goose Creative and be a time for members of the community to share their ideas for what the mural will include. We will record the ideas on video and give them to the artist(s) to come up with a final design.
Please spread the word to your neighbors and nearby businesses. This is going to be a strong step in the right direction to take back that wall and beautify our neighborhood!
