My boyfriend has some huge watercolors (30ish x 40ish) that he has been asked to turn into poster-sized prints. We're assuming they'll need to be photographed and then printed. Does anyone know of a good resource for this in Columbus that doesn't cost a ton of money?

Does anyone know of a good resource for this in Columbus that doesn't cost a ton of money?Figure you'll be wanting about 8000x6000 resolution on the image, find someone with a camera that can do take pictures larger than that.
You'll need to proper lighting (low watt bulbs in clamp lights, like 5 of them about 24" away from the image).
Getting them printed will cost you. You'll need to go to a commercial print shop capable of doing near photographic quality poster prints. I think some Staples offer that for about $30 per print.
That help at all?
This is sort of what I do for money these days except I don't go over 14" wide prints due to my printer's limitations.

I had a large art print reprinted at some place in Miranova quite a while ago that I was happy with. Sorry, I don't remember the name of it and I tried searching to no avail.

atlas blueprints on spring street just west of neil
key blueprints on livingston @ mohawk
both of those places do enlargements up to and including mural sizes
there's a place in the back side of 300 marconi that does this kind of work too, big ads and stuff for conventions, don't recall the name

Relatedly, I have some big posters I need to have laminated-- any recommendations for places that laminate large posters?

+1 on the laminator info.
And let's keep going with the "relatedly" theme - howabout framing recommendations? I have a pair of 26 x 38 acrylics on cardboard that need framing (no matting needed). Thanks!
