Is Gabriel on board with this tour? Not going, but would have considered it in that case.

The Columbus Dispatch wrote Genesis shows it still has the knack

Wow. What a refreshingly endearing -- and downright strange -- arena-rock experience that was.
Last night in Nationwide Arena -- during its first concert in Columbus since a 1992 Ohio Stadium show that drew 73,000 -- Genesis demonstrated that amplified music played in nearly packed sports complexes doesn't solely have to be a rehash of hits and kowtowing to the populace.
Oh, there were sing-alongs and clap-your-hands-and-say-yeah ditties from the '80s and early '90s, to be sure, including Land of Confusion, I Can't Dance and Tonight, Tonight, Tonight.
And there was ingratiating bonding with the locals: singer/drummer Phil Collins leading an Ohio State 'O-H!-I-O!' cheer.

When we were at the bar at Rosendale's on Saturday, a couple of young lasses - one in a laced-up bustier - sat down next to my son. From their conversation with the bartender, they were all hepped to go to the Genesis concert.
Not worthy of comment except ... bustier-chick loudly proclaimed her goal of bagging Phil Collins!! Eeeeew - he could be her grandfather!

I'm a genuine Progger. Without Peter Gabriel (or Steve Hackett for that matter) I just couldn't get myself to go.
That said, realizing I was walking distance away on the day of the show, I began having regrets that I didn't go.
I did see the next best thing, The Musical Box, in Cleveland last year - a re-creation of the Gabriel-era stage shows. Tremendous!
