I saw on next episode preview, it seems like Dany is going to the House of Undying to get her dragons. That should be a great scene. There are so many things to wrap up that I don't see it happening this season. They should have made the finale 2 hour long.

I figured it was a two hour finale? I was surprised to see the episode air on the holiday weekend.

For the love of God, hurry up season 3.
Curious what's going to happen with Tyrion, amongst a gazillion other things.

Theon getting tormented by the hornblower and the last scene FTW!

Great season finale. Every scene was so good. But my favorites were Arya & Jaqen scene and Dany's scene.

I'm going to miss the tripped out warlock creeper dudes.
I'm curious in the second to last episode, if they had all that dragon fire or whatever, why wouldn't they use some to protect the walls?

Probably because they would have burned down Kings Landing in the process. I think Bronn says something to this effect in the episode where they discover the stockpiled wildfire with the alchemists.

Good point. I'd so lose these battles.
Crazy as hell about Geoffrey's "divorce", cold!

So sad that I have to wait so long for season 3. :(

Great finale! Glad to see pretty much all of the major stories (unless I'm missing one?) tied up and shipped off for next season.
I thought that the scenes with Dany felt a bit rushed. We've been hearing about THE HOUSE OF THE UNDYING for several weeks and she blew threw it like she had cheat codes turned on. I did think that it was amusing to see Khal Drogo back for the magic dream sequence since I was just thinking about how this show doesn't bring people back from the dead in the same way that LOST used to.
I was expecting to see at least one major character killed off in the finale, but they were all fairly minor.
Loved the scenes with Brienne and Jamie. Her "stay" command to him as a dog after she slaughtered those 3 dudes was pretty hilarious.
All in all, a very solid season, and looking forward to number 3.
Now... when exactly does Breaking Bad come back on? ;)

One other thing... what exactly happened with the burning of Winterfell. I assume Theon's men surrendered and were allowed to go home, as was declared by Robb, and they must have snuck Theon out. Did they just burn the whole place down on their way out, and were allowed to still leave?
The way that scene ended was sort of left without a whole lot of detail...

According to the books Ramsay Snow attacked and sacked Winterfell, capturing Theon from the captivity of his men (make sense?) This will probably be addressed at the beginning of season 3.

I wouldn't put too much faith in the books. The adaptation of Clash of Kings has been just that... "Adaptation". They have strayed pretty far from the books on many story lines on season 2.

Oh and those white walkers at the end of the finale. Ho.ly.shit.
