    Ver-Snatchie,

Why didn't you come out to the release show?

    Why do you hate art?

I always really enjoy circleing for a parking spot.

True about the parking, though I'm not sure who still drives to the festival.

We tried to get an exclusive interview with the Short North parking cop...you know, the one who tickets errrrybody.

    Not happening.

    Step 1: Get parking ticket

Step 2: Pay parking ticket (or not)

Step 3: KEEP parking ticket, preferably in glove compartment

    Step 4: Park illegally

Step 5: Place old ticket orange side up under your wiper blade

I'm not going to guarantee this works 100% of the time, but I will vouch that it's worked 100% of the time for me for almost 4 years.

lol...like I said Daz, I can't guarantee results, only report mine...which are that I almost never park legally, NEVER pay meters, and as long as I've been using this technique I've never gotten an additional ticket.

On another thread, somebody has already asked "where to park during Comfest." This is a question that has no answer, especially this year.

In prior years, the answer was to suck it up and park in the garages and lots around the Arena, and then walk down in (oh the horror of the 3 block walk). I always enjoy how people will circle Goodale for an hour looking for a spot that is not permit only - when it does not exist. But this year the Arena parking is probably a no-go as the NHL Draft is in town. So my advice would be to park up near campus, and then either walk down or dare I advise, ride the COTA bus down High.

There are some things to remember:

    1. Almost every street between Neil and Summit (so 2 blocks east and west of High) is permit only parking for residents.

    2. The meters are on Fri and Sat. They only last for 2 hours.

    3. If your meter hits the 121st minute or you park in a permit only section, there is a guy with a mullet and a pen, and he will find your car and he will ticket it.

    4. Tow truck companies like Kelley are not waiting to be called, they will be swirling around the private lots looking for cars to tow.

    5. Acme cab is 777-7777

    6. There will be a fenced in area for bike parking

    7. You will most likely be too drunk to drive home anways, see taxi # above
