The new version of Fritz The Nite Owl's Nite Owl Theatre was started one year ago this month by Fritz and filmmaker Mike McGraner. Since then, they have produced 12 episodes and the audience continues to grow. The show is a retro shoutback to Fritz's days on WBNS 10tv from 1974-1991, complete with vintage commercials from that era and a "Star Spangled" station sign off.
This Saturday night at Grandview Theatre (1247 Grandview Avenue) at midnight, the best of the year will be shown along with brand new Fritz segments, surprise guests, and three very interesting creatures along for the ride. It'll be a full-on Halloween party, Nite Owl style! And it's all free.
Fritz will be in attendance and a pre-show starts around 11 for those that wish to get there early. The pre-show will also feature two new episodes of Aidan 5, a locally produced web series that has recently gained the attention of Mr. William Shatner himself.
The evening is sure to capture the Halloween spirit and reawaken a time when late-night television ruled the airwaves, courtesy of the one, the only, Columbus' voice of the night, Fritz The Nite Owl.
