Anyone using Fring on their cell phones? Skype is supposed to release their software for the iPhone real soon and for Blackberries in May; I was wondering if anyone had experience with these VoIP programs on their phone (vs computer).

I've been using Fring on my iPhone, but only as a multi-platform IM client - haven't really had any need/use for it as a VOIP client.
As an IM client it's pretty solid, but I'll still likely switch to the Meebo app when it's released. Especially if it incorporates more push notifictions

I'll download the Skype app tomorrow, but not sure how much I'll use it. USAToday hada nice review of it.

The fact this works from an iPod touch (w/headset) is pretty darn cool.

I use Fring on the Nokia E71, and it has pretty good call quality in general. I use it for calls overseas and I've not rally had problems with it. I've also been able to use it on my T-Mobile EDGE connection which was pretty surprising..
All in all pretty solid. Also the IM functionality works well. The only problem I have is that it will foreground on the E71 on an incoming chat, with no setting to turn off that feature, which is annoying, but this wouldn't be a problem on the IPhone.

I tried Fring. VOIP call quality + cell-phone hardware = craptastic. Usable if there's no other option, but not what I'd call desirable.
