Not bad. Not for everyone, but worth checking out if you enjoyed the x-files.

I watched it. Not great, but not bad either. I never really got into X-files but I imagine it was a lot like Fringe. To be honest, I didn't get into Lost until the fourth episode. I will give it a few more episodes. I hope it doesn't turn into Heros. A cool premiere and then quickly turns to crap do to shitty acting and crappy stories.

I thought it was pretty dumb, to be totally honest. I'm actually surprised I even watched it. I don't normally bother with big budget tv shows. I'm a documentary man.

I watched it a couple weeks ago, thought it was pretty entertaining actually. Some decent humor moments, somewhat interesting plot. I'll probably keep watching a bit.

I found it amusing that the writing suddenly kicked up a notch from "annoying expository" to "okay, we're actually in an episode" exactly halfway through the pilot. I even looked up at the clock when it happened. It gained my interest and I'll watch it again.

I thought it was pretty good, esp. for a pilot. Very entertaining at least. I thought the preview for more shows at the end was actually one of the best parts. Obvious similarities to LOST....not sure how I feel about that.

I really liked it. Never was a fan of X-files, this feels much crisper and less sci-fi, even though the story-lines are probably just as sci-fi.
Unbelievable amount of Lost similarities though: Airplane "crash" introduction, the work of underground well-funded scientist(s) from decades ago is suddenly relevant again, patterns everywhere, symbols on the doors, even cheesily similar suspense music and viral websites. The two are so similar, that I could almost see crossover in the future when Lost flames out. I certainly wouldn't be surprised to see a Fringe character name-drop one of the more obscure characters from Lost.

We have been watching this each week and its gets dopier and dopier.
The bad guy had some kickass gus this week. They ended up shooting him down anyway. The first rule of dungeon-crawling is ... loot the body! Wanna bet this gun never shows up again?
Or little details - the agent was driving to some address, holding a piece of paper. Is DHS too cheap to get their super agents GPS? My wife and I said this simultaneously. All sorts of annoyances that just suck the life out of the story.

I've still been watching it, but mostly at 3 and 4 in the morning because I have a strange insomnia type thing lately. If it wasn't for the mad scientist character, I'd be gone already, but he kind of interests me.

yeah. the last episode was... not good.
hypertechnology shows up... does nothing... vibrates quietly... and leaves.
a guy with a minor superweapon (maybe just caseless ammo, minirockets as posited by the original Logan's Run story) takes on a small army of guards with AR-14s, can read minds if he shoves a wire up your nose... is shot in the back while running away from one agent with a glock.
the creepy "man in black" based figure (original man in black legends not the movies) shows up seemingly just to record the events and provide the occasional dios-ex-machina?
no... that was pretty weak writing. Obviously most of the stuff was thrown in there to make the audience say "ooo... who/what was that?" and provide very little to forward the "metaplot" they're trying to build. Maybe some of these loose ends will be picked up by the writers later, maybe not. It depends on how planned out the series is. I suspect it may not be and will just end up as a big mess.

I've been trying to watch this series, though the TIVO has not been cooperating fully. I've seen episodes 1,2 & 4. I am a fan of the X files and am a fan of Lost and I don't really think I like this show. That being said I'll probably give it a few more chances.
For me, I can't stand the female lead character. she seems too wooden. Her emotions seem forced. She may grow into the character, but i don't really enjoy anything else to stick around and wait for that to happen.
I am going to say that the last episode where they started to lay foundations of the overarching mythology with the "watcher" guy and some reappearances by the dead love interest agent was more interesting than the previous stand alone epsiodes, but still left me wanting.
This is a rambling post, but i guess it boils down to, I was expecting more from this show based on the pedigree, but it's failed to deliver so far. I'm willing to give it some time, but not much. That's just my 2cents.

Give 11th Hour a try, seems more likely to give you a much more interesting, believable, well-acted show with some of the same elements.
