Tonight's pre-Comfest prep in Goodale Park was a success! Volunteers began clearing low branches along the sidewalks in Goodale Park, and they re-worked much of the mulch from the parking lot to the base of several trees throughout the park. Many thanks to everyone who participated!
Round 2 of our pre-Comfest prep is this Saturday, June 12, 9:00am-12:00pm, and we're hoping to continue cleanup efforts in preparation for this year's Comfest celebration.
Comfest's volunteers do an amazing job preparing for the festival, and providing cleanup detail, but they can't do it alone! Please take an hour or two this Saturday to help keep Goodale Park looking beautiful. Meet Julie at the shelter house any time between 9am and 12pm.

And speaking of Comfest...
Friends of Goodale Park seeks volunteers to help during Comfest weekend. There are two great ways to give some time and make a difference:
1) Comfest Safety & Security: Donate your time to Comfest, making sure the park is a safe and secure place to celebrate. Shifts are available all weekend long. Go to http://www.comfest.com/, select "Click here to Volunteer" on the main page, and fill out the Comfest Volunteer Application.
PLEASE DON'T FORGET to indicate "Friends of Goodale Park" as the organization to which you would like to donate your volunteer hours! Goodale Park will benefit greatly from your donation!
2) Friends of Goodale Park Information Booth: 2-hr shifts available all day Saturday (6/26) & Sunday (6/27). Volunteers will work with Friends of Goodale Park to distribute information about park history, upcoming park events, and future volunteer opportunities. Please email Julie Hallan, Volunteer Coordinator, at juliehallan@friendsofgoodalepark.org to request shifts for this event.
