JimSweeney wrote misskitty wrote I think before building condos they need to build other stuff to make it worth the venture thats what I mean. If you make it affordable right now I dont think it would turn out the way they want :?
hmm.. what other stuff? what do you mean it won't turn out the way they want it? who is they?
Well some things like retail shopping there are some store fronts there that are not used or run down ,good specialty shops, improved parks, The area needs those things it needs more restarants you can be served in ( not fast food) , and stores to shop in ( i dont mean 99cents store that also carry fake hair) . But good quility shops.make it walk-able and nice clean it up a bit more.
Its a real swell area just needs some stuff added and fixed.
I will note the new fire station is awesome , improved , and looks great they really deserve that ( the firemen) .
As far as how it will turn out I mean the people of Franklinton and the people who can vision the growth .
There’s nothing to make buying a condo there worth wild not yet anyway.
that’s why I say more to bring them in.
Besides why Condo if you can get a nice house dirt cheap down there ? Were talking some of those houses are worth 30k thats cheap.
thats just my take I will really try to make it to the meeting .
ALSO: I would like to add I was thinking the other day when I was on Gift st. taking pictures about the second apartment complex that sits empty it would be a awsome Art Space its got a wonderful court yard.
How ever NO one would want to live next to the apartment tower that is right next to it. As it has many hookers , crack heads and dealers.
I can back up my thougth on this by noting when I was at scraw there was a hooker giving a john head on the side of the road .
But I am hopeful :D
