Is this news? Cause FOX sure isn't. Only the truly brainwashed believe a goddamn thing that FOX reports, and trust me Walker it's too late to save them.
They'll argue that the unedited pure video was really edited by the left to make it sound less incriminating, and then if you try to argue with them more they'll just remind you that you weren't there so you don't know. Then if you try to use that argument in reverse on them, they'll just dismiss you.
FOXNEWS is like meth, it gets you hooked, and then rewires your brain so that you can no longer think logically.

Here's my favorite:
Get the Video Plugin I think producers at Fox News just have an intern run a Lexis search for a catchphrase and splice a clip to support their partisan bend. Fair and balanced.

What was it that Homer Simpson said? "Facts are meaningless- you could use facts to prove anything that's even remotely true." Or false apparently!

I have no issue accepting MSNBC's bias is as strong as Fox (don't really agree on CNN though), but even at that...I've never seen them do things like that ever.
That's Michael Moore style.

One thing that puzzles me is the panic to buy guns and ammo before Obama bans them. I've been wondering if I missed a memo, since I can't think of any statement from him on the subject.
Seeing those editing jobs seems to me to confirm he hasn't said much, or else they would have some clip of him saying "Some people think we should ban all guns" and clip it to him saying "We should ban all guns."

I know a few Fox news loving people. Everything Fox says they believe. They could have Obama directly tell them something and seriously say Fox is still right. Sad

It is truly disgraceful that we’ve reached a time when FOX, MSNBC or any other “News†organization would put a political spin on the news. Whatever happened to truthful and objective reporting? I fully accept and can actually appreciate that type of behavior from Jon Stewart, Steven Colbert, Rush Limbaugh or Glenn Beck. They are merely entertainers with no more responsibility to be “fair and balanced†then the guy who writes the movie about aliens attacking Earth.
I hate to sound like a radical but we as Americans really needs to get our news outlets in check to assure that we are receiving honest and truthful information. Otherwise, those channels will merely become – if they haven’t already – mouthpieces for partisan agendas; left or right.
On a lighter note: I heard that the latest rumor on the right about the AF1 over Manhattan fiasco was due to a rouge Air Force pilot commandeering the plane to protest Obama “hijacking the Presidencyâ€Â. Really. I heard this.

The news should report only however they I don’t think they would have as many viewers if they didn’t sensationalize it .

I mean it's not like this country hasn't been through this before.
Bias never goes completely away, but when folks start competing for ratings (and sales) and rich people want to push their agendas on the nation (or world) at large, you'll have that.
I'd like to think more people would just see right through the bias, but unfortunately people will hold onto anything that reinforces their own preconceptions, especially when it's some kind of supposed "authoritative" source.

I suspect that more and more people are seeing thru it. As this awareness increases, folks may make the choice to tune out or to cancel their subscriptions and find alternative sources. What extent this is having in terms of the fact that many Newspapers are failing I couldn't say, but I believe there is some correlation.

It's frightening when the most reliable news show on television is TMZ...

Seeing those editing jobs seems to me to confirm he hasn't said much, or else they would have some clip of him saying "Some people think we should ban all guns" and clip it to him saying "We should ban all guns."A lot of the gun buying seemed to come from this statement, which is now on the whitehouse agenda page for urban policy:
Address Gun Violence in Cities: Obama and Biden would repeal the Tiahrt Amendment, which restricts the ability of local law enforcement to access important gun trace information, and give police officers across the nation the tools they need to solve gun crimes and fight the illegal arms trade. Obama and Biden also favor commonsense measures that respect the Second Amendment rights of gun owners, while keeping guns away from children and from criminals. They support closing the gun show loophole and making guns in this country childproof. They also support making the expired federal Assault Weapons Ban permanent.
Not to argue the merits of policy ( that's a whole other topic ), but as "Assault Weapons" are firearms, and the Obama administration states above they support permanently banning "Assault Weapons", then perhaps one can see how some view Obama as desiring to ban (some) firearms?
However, I'd guess that at least some of the firearm purchases since November have been market speculation.
During the 1994-2004 AWB, standard capacity magazines for pistols were running about $150 each. After the ban expired, those same magazines now cost about $30.
Perhaps some people are buying firearms speculatively, thinking to sell them for profit after a ban is enacted.

The gun show loophole is one of the most ridiculous things in existence in modern law. I can't believe it hasn't been closed already.
