Sad, but true:
Some friends of mine have rescued a puppy that was taken off of a man about to dump it in a dumpster in German Village/Schumacher Place. Signs point to the possibility that the dog was likely stolen originally.
Its a large breed dog and I'd guess in the 4 month range, still in excellent health (despite the d-bag it was with) and had a matching collar and leash.
They took the pup to the vet and scanned it for a micro chip (none), and are posting on all the lost dog databases already, so this post is just to help add to the search.
If you are missing a dog and can PM me with a picture, or further description, I'll let you know if its the dog I'm talking about.
Obviously, I'm being purposefully vague since I'd like this pup to get back to the original owner safely... if not, looks like my friends have a new buddy.
