I knew the String Shoppe had closed but I was surprised to see the building leveled. Does anyone have any info about what might be planned for the site? It’s next door the Newport on N. High St.

Possibly this?
http://www.bizjournals.com/columbus/stories/2010/08/23/story1.htmlThe Edwards project is further north at 15th - of course, plans could have changed. I searched the city's online building permit list and didn't find anything. The address is 1710 N. High St.

I'm pretty sure it's just going to be retail, maybe with apartments above. I was contacted by a developer about putting a restaurant in the ground floor a few months back. My guess is they are waiting for a few tenants to commit before finalizing plans and applying for permits.

I'm looking forward to seeing proposed renderings.
