I've noticed in the past few days that there is excavation going on next to the former Starbucks at Fifth & Broadview in 5xNW. Anyone know if this means something is going to open up in the old Starbucks?

I'd be fine if they turned it back into a Daddyo's...that place was awesome.

I recall hearing something the business next door, One More Time, expanding. I thought I read it here, but I can't find it now.

I've heard that Graffiti Burger is planning a Grandview location and I think this might be it.

Daddyo's is now the drive-thru Sbux which is still open. The closed Sbux had a sit-down area. Don't think it was Daddyo's - Isley's maybe?

It was a Friendly's before Starbucks, which takes it back to 1990. Not sure what was on the site before that.

I used to work at that Starbucks before it closed, and there was a rumor circulating when we got pushed out that another coffee shop was moving in. But, that would be ridiculous. If Starbucks couldn't turn a profit somewhere, what competitor could?
A lot of our regulars talked about banding together and buying the space, turning it into an independent cafe and hiring all the old baristas back. That would have ruled.

did they offer you a job at the one 100 yards away?

Not quite; I moved to the Lennox store, not more than a mile away.

AHHHH, yeah, I was thinking of the drive thru. I did eat at that Friendly's a bunch of times too.
Probably the only person alive who has eaten at Friendly's and Daddyo's more than Starbucks, as I haven't been in a Starbucks in almost 2 years.

A Five Guys would be great. I'd also like to see one in German Village.

This is great news! It will be a welcome addition to the neighborhood.

I saw someone in the building "bombing" up the walls last night. (guessing Coreroc knows who that guy/gal is) I wonder if they will paint it all OSU or Grandview colors since the one in Dublin has all of the Dublin football teams represented.
anyone know whet the deal is with the big empty lot next to the building is all about?
