Just thought I would throw this out there but does anyone from the food reviewers want to meet up sometime and maybe talk about some of our favorite places to eat. It would be kind of fun to do a monthly review together at some local place. As long as it is not a chain and preferably somewhere that has not been reviewed yet by this website count me in.

CMHGourmand expressed an interest in this awhile back. I'm always down for meeting up... schedule permitting of course. ;)

My schedule is quite flexible. I am usually busy on Tuesday and Thursday nights but any day after 5:30 I am free most of the time. We could check out one of these Mexican places that were just reviewed recently? What are some good dates and times?

I just want to show up and eat good food!

I'd love to get in on this. I moved to Cols last summer from Toronto and have been trying to find great food here, but there seems to be such a crapload of chain places! Help me find yummy food!

Anyone have some free time the week of the 26th? Monday or Wed. Night dinner maybe?

For me, Wednesday is better.

I hate the term "foodie"...why not "gourmets" instead?

You will notice that I now embrace the term "blog" with both arms and a graceful, almost imperceptible brush of the cheek. I cannot do otherwise. It is like fighting a dying sea. Even a dying sea can crush you at the bottom of it, or float you for ages along disused trade currents.
I will not go so gently into the goodnight that is "foodie," however.
Everyone who uses that term, though there already were epicures, gastronomes, gourmets, and gourmands...well, shame on you. You sound like knee-dandling aunties, like a CEO named Charles who opts to go by the diminutive Chuckie. It's an idiotic term, and an embarrassment of the age. Like food is something we discovered in 1995. As though it were a novelty thing.
There were already words, and good ones. Which are you? (These are pared down to their barest essence)
EPICURE/GOURMET: One who enjoys good food and drink.
GOURMAND: One who enjoys good food and drink in large quantities.
GASTRONOME: One who enjoys not just food, but its history and sociology.
Where does "foodie" fit in? I don't know. To me it rhymes with "poprophiliac."

Well, I'm officially labeling myself Gourmand...more for the drink than the food though, but with the right food applies to both!

Alright, well I'm a Guinnessmand.

The 28th would work for me also. who wants in? suggestions where to go? I like Cucos or northstar just because food is given in such mass quantities quickly!

I know it probably makes me look dumb if I ask if food places are 18+ or 21+ but hey, I am a dumb 19 year old.
but yeah, I'm in if I can be.

OK the official next meeting is for Wednesday March 28th at 6 pm. Meet at Cu Co's on Henderson Road. Its in a little strip mall right across the street from a Kroger I believe. The strip mall has a cell phone store and a couple other minor things in it. You can't miss it. Everyone is invited but prepared to just be talking about food all night and reviewing. There is no age limit there so we are good to go ha ha. I am ordering dinner at like 6:15 cause I eat alot, and if no one is there atleast I am getting some dinner! Ha ha hope to see you!

Yea!! Glad you guys are going to go check out my fav mexican place. It's not very big so having a large group sit together could be a problem. Just FYI. i was excited to read the walker family review of this place. Will be even greater to read all of your reviews. Don't forget to check out the free salsa bar!! They don't tell you about it most of the time, so you just have to get up and find it.
also here's a coupon http://www.e-maxx.biz/advantage/biz.html?id=211
as if the place was not cheap enough.
