Probably a decent commuter if you have a friend who can check the assembly. At $150 (considering the topography) this would probably fit most people's needs (pay attention to frame size - walmart return policy is 90 days). It has a flip/flop hub (sans cog).

$250 gets you a single speed from PG with life time tune ups. $150 also gets you some decent stuff at Third Hand and Franklinton.
But yeah, if the Walmart bike gets you going so be it.

I think so. I thought the bike was black, but it could be blue. I see it leaned outside the 3rd Hand Bike Co-op sometimes too. I'd love to see how he gets on and off that thing.

From what I remember he stands on a pedal or something on the side, using a nearby pole to help. Get it going with a push and when the momentum is such to keep it steady he shimmy's up and on the seat.
