Ok, Jo is graduating at the end of the month and her family would like to go out to a "fancy dinner" to celebrate.
Her grandparents are pretty conservative as far as nice restaurants go. They also tend to like places that aren't very loud, as they're around 80 and don't necessary care for a lot of noise.
So I was hoping to make some type of list. Upscale dining choices. Go!

Rigsby's is perfect in terms of cuisine but might be difficult for anyone with a hearing issue because it has a lot of background buzz. Alana's is fairly quiet (except for outside during a home football game).

Going with quiet as the primary need - then Refectory. L'Antibes is a very good choice for quiet as well - but have them look at the menu online first.
Alana's is my first choice - usually quiet but not always.
I would add Deepwood to the list - very quiet and the menu would not scare an older person.

Oh Walker, how did I miss the June 20 closing? I thought Handke's was to remain open with Chef Asa Rodriguez in the kitchen? I'm sad to see they are closed.

I waited tables there for 2 years, having access to slide down the fire pole was the best thing ever. But I never considered it "fine" dining. It was upscale, but "fine" to me takes it to another level.
Mitchell's steakhouse is fine dining, the staff is really well trained and professional.
