With all of the new and old spots in the Short North, it's hard to say which is the best. The Bandits are big fans of Bernard's Tavern and Mac's Cafe (with many honorable mentions). Oh, and they just raided Da Levee with a review up next week- that was real good. Thoughts?

We generally do Betty's or Press Grill with a couple of drinks at Bodega. Never actually eaten at Bodega, but one of these days I will, the menu looks pretty decent, plus the service at Bodega has always been great.

Surly Girl is by far my favorite Short North restaurant. Hands down they have the best grilled cheese and tomato soup to go with their great beer and cocktail menu. Plus how can you beat a restaurant that helps you keep in shape with Punk Rock Aerobics?
Not sure if it still counts as Short North but Barley's is also a favorite.

I used to like their menu, but the last several times I've eaten there I and my companions have not had good meals. The last time we didn't even finish the food, it was that bad. Late Night Slice is just around the corner...if you've had too much to drink and need some filler I suggest you go there.

The Rossi or Bernard's for me. Of course, those were tough choices seeing as though I like so many restaurants throughout the Short North. Honorable mention: Betty's and Tasi

I would call Cafe del Mondo Italian Village. Next door to the Short North. I've seen it called a Short North restaurant, too.

Depends on what I want...If I want a casual sammich and lots of booze with lots of friends, it's Surly. If I wanna be fancy-ish, it's DeepWood. For a burger and cocktail craving, I'm off to The Rossi. And if I want to walk for sushi, it's Nida's.
As far as an overall fave though...I gotta go with The Rossi.
