There are some foods that are just too time-intensive to make year-round. Or too calorie-laden to enjoy more than once a year. What do you (or your families) make for the holidays that you look forward to all year round?
We've been making a cookie of the week for the past few weeks. Last week was decorated roll-outs. Awesome. This week was a not so good almond cookie. Tons left over. Next week, I think kolaches - those jam, poppy seed or walnut filled wonders both of my grandmas used to make. Also, blinis. Not the crepe kind, they're more like latkes. My grandma is the master at making them - takes all morning. But so good.
