Inception is the only movie I have seen. I'm thinking Black Swan will be better somehow.

I saw 'True Grit' last night. So now, I'm in a bit of a toss up between 'True Grit' and 'Inception'.
The Social Network was also great.

I don't know how you managed the True Grit preview, but I'm more than a little jealous.

Have to certainly add Winter's Bone to the list, it was outstanding. I think its TaraK that has posted on here of her life in Appalachia growing up, and if she doesn't see this movie its tragic.I saw & loved this film for many different reasons, and I'd happily rank it as one of the best of 2010. It was great in its writing, performances (many of which were done by non-actors), crime noir themes, etc., but I also just really dug it for what it captured. Afterwards, my partner commented on how harsh it was whereas I said it made me overwhelmingly nostalgic.
Edit: FYI -- Drexel is bringing it back for 1 week.

Excited about True Grit. Got a little less excited about it when I saw it was rated PG-13. Still will see it as soon as I can though.

God, I just realized that I didn't watch a single movie yet in 2010.

Mediocre year for movies I thought; lots of bad, lots of average, but very little good.
That said, as of now, first place goes to...
Animal KingdomRunner-up...
A tie between The American and 127 Hours. And the most surprisingly good movie of the year goes to...

Machete: Great Movie or Greatest Movie?

You can add Animal Kingdom to my list as well. Great acting by the young kid and the grandmother (Jacki Weaver). Even though she got the Golden Globe nomination, I was more impressed with "J", the young lead character.
"Pope" the uncle was also amazingly acted. I'd say more but I don't want to spoil anything.
I'm a sucker for great crime dramas. Very solid work for a directorial debut.
