If you were going to have a cake made (not for a wedding), where would you go? Artsy leaning.

Good friends of mine just got married and got their wedding cake from Bakery Gingham and it was beautifully done...very modern...and slap someone in the face tasty.
I've also heard great things about Piece of Cake in the Short North.I know you said not wedding cake...but I know both do cakes of the non wedding sort.
You know what I mean. :)Posted 2 years ago # -
I was just looking at Bakery Ginghams' website... I'm gonna check them out this week.

Hey yo. I'm not a bakery, but I am an artist and graphic designer... and CAKE MAKER. I'd love to help you out. You can check out my work on "Cakes On The Side" Facebook Fan Page, or I can send you pics of some stuff I've done.

I just looked up "Cakes on the side" on FB and it says Anaheim, CA. I mean, I would have totally driven there to pick up a cake when I lived in Burbank, but Columbus is a bit too far.

Cathleen, if you're gonna reference your facebook link, you should probably just go ahead and post it:
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Cakes-On-The-Side/109351804883
…because if you search for "cakes on the side" you get a particularly lame page w/ two fan members and two pictures, and yeah, it's based in Anaheim CA.

She makes kick ass cakes out of her house in Clintonville. Very affordable and professional.

I'll third Piece of Cake and also suggest Cake Studio or Pistachio.
