It does look impressive. However, I'm REALLY looking forward to LittleBigPlanet.
I'm looking forward to Fallout 3 as well. Looks like one part Oblivion, one part HalfLife. :D Hope it controls well with a console controller. I only played Oblivion for a bit on the PC, but I heard a lot of people complain that the controls were too complex for the console ports and controller configuration was cumbersome.

I still have Oblivion installed right now, and in fact played it a bit last night. I'd have to agree though, for a console I can't imagine how it would work, there's just so much to do.

It works pretty well on the console, not as many shortcuts but all the main stuff works well. I believe they started with the console controls first and the adapted the keyboard controls from there but I'm not 100% sure on that
I am looking forward to this title. I'm a huge fan of the series. I know that when games make the jump from one format to another sometimes it doesn't translate very well. That being said, I'll probably get this game regardless. I'd also like to mention that the collectors edition comes with a very cool "Vault Tec" lunchbox type thingy for only $10 more than the regular edition. well worth the cost IMHO.
Releases on the 23rd for PS3! YAY!
Saint's Row 2 comes out in a couple days too.
Good month for games, although Star Wars: Force Unleashed sucked.
Oblivion was so awesome. Hopefully, Fallout is good.
So what's the deal with this game? I've never played any of the others.

IMO, one of the best RPGs of all time. Post-apocalyptic world setting, really cool sense of humor. Created by Black Isle (Baldur's, Planescape, Icewind Dale, etc'), it's consistently ranked as one of the top 5 PC games ever.
the original was one of the best games of the genre ever. I love the flavor, the feeling and most of all the dark humor involved in the games. I even liked the Brotherhood of Steel tactical spin-off that most fans consider non canon. I have high hopes for this new installment. I just hope I have some time to play it.
Sigh, so many games so little time.
Awesome, sounds right up my alley! Have to check it out!
If you can tolerate older games and their now ugly pixelated graphics and quirks, I would even suggest you trying to pick up the original RPGs just for some additional fun. I'm not sure if they are commercially distributed anymore or not. If they are not, abandonia will have them.
FYI, generally for great games of yesteryear for free check out http://www.abandonia.com. It's amazing what they have
Totally agree, falllout and fallout 2 have aged well, and I just replayed fallout 2 about a year ago.
Just got my "we shipped fallout 3" message from Gamefly...YAY!!!!!
A copy of this just entered my house, so I probably won't see my partner for the next three days. It looks good, and has a nice thick hint book (always a good sign, at least for those of us who love hint books.)
Ours is sitting on the sofa table waiting to be played. I promised I'd wait until my boyfriend got home from work. :drumming fingers: Ahhh the sleepless nights. :)
This has been a really awesome (and expensive) game month. I don't care, I'll eat grilled cheese by the light of the tv and the warmth of the PS3 for the next month to make up for it.
I'll share my review tomorrow. Either at 3 am before I go to bed or noon when I get up.

agreed, my sleep quotient has been shit though. Played some Silent Hill Homecoming, a little Spider Man Web of Shadows, Saint's Row 2, and now Fallout 3 on the way.
What's your take on Saints Row? Specifically in comparison to GTA, if possible? I've been told Saints Row is better but that's nearing blasphemy in my opinion. Although GTA 4 did quite easily lose my interest...

I absolutely love it, and in fact, do like it much more than GTA 4. The customizations alone are HUGE in comparison.
