Exquisite art isn't confined to museums in New York. Fine dining in the Midwest extends beyond Chicago.
Columbus cuisine and culture are among the best around, say city tourism officials, who are inviting residents to get out and play at discounted prices.
"Our goal is to make greater Columbus the place to be over Columbus Day weekend," said Paul Astleford, president and chief executive officer of Experience Columbus, the tourism agency.
As part of the fourth annual Experience Columbus Days, residents and visitors can save as much as 50 percent on attractions and events from Friday through Monday.
New this year: 25 percent discounts at 30 restaurants for parties of one or two.
The hope, said Paul McGinty, a spokesman for Experience Columbus, is that residents will "try things they haven't typically tried before."
Thanks!
