Enjoy Columbus...mixes from 93' til now...
http://www.essentialmixes.net/siteMap.phpNice. There are some gems in there. Just a quick looks shows an old Portishead and Massive Attack studio session, Guy Called Gerald, FlyLo, Four Tet and Daft Punk.
This just highlights my annoyance with BBC though. That list is way too heavy on the trance and way too light on the Detroit LUV. I count only 3 Mills mixes, one Carl Craig mix and no Derrick May at all.
Chicago House is pretty lightly represented as well. I mean no Paul Johnson or Green Velvet? One Felix Da Housecat mix?Anyway, bitching aside, there looks like some great stuff there:

I always preferred Breezeblock. That being said, I'm impressed and appreciate this; will be downloading and listening to them as I have time.

Listening to a KMS mix now, there's plenty of Detroit and Chicago guys there. and even a few Columbus guys.

Thanks for the links, I'm into all these shows. Personally, my favorite electronic music radio show is London's Solid Steel (running for over 25 years). Their archives have amazing sets from both well known DJs (e.g., RJD2, Four Tet, De La Soul, DJ Shadow, The Orb, Kid Koala, Caspa/Rusko and my favorite, Strictly Kev) to tons of great lesser known DJs. These days, Ohio is represented there with a bunch of mixes from Ruckus Roboticus (a regular contributor since 2003) and a recent mix from DJ Self Help.
IMO, the best place for downloading DJ mixes/radio shows is The Mixing Bowl. Check them out--a very friendly and knowledgeable community of music-lovers and DJs from all over the world. They have the most extensive archives of pretty much every electronic radio show unavailable elsewhere.
Here in Columbus, at The Beat Oracle, we try to keep the airwaves full of a diverse set of electronic music including house (Detroit, Chicago, New York, Berlin, Tokyo), hip-hop, wonky, dubstep, ambient, pop, dnb, idm, and anything else we can get our hands on. We broadcast every Thursday night (tonight!) from 9-11pm on WCRS, 98.3fm and 102.1fm, in Arawak city and podcast online at http://beatoracle.net/.

thanks for posting Tong's Essential Mix - having lived in the UK one summer, this certainly brings back fond memories. I've got enough sets to listen to for a long, long time. There are some classic ones in there

I might have to give them a go again.

I highly recommend the Danny Howells mix from 7-28-02. This is one of the best funky eclectic mixes ever. I used to have this on my old PC before the hardrive crashed and loved it. It highly influenced my dj'ing style back in the day. It is classified under Drum and Bass, but it is not Drum and Bass at all... Kool and the Gang, Prince, First Choice, Beastie Boys.. so eclectic but so right.
