Yeah, I'm sorta over the 90 and above temps with 99% humidity. We might as well live in the deep South. Uggh...

Be careful what you wish for. Remember this?:

Yeah.
Try commuting by bike in this crap.
I don't have air conditioning in my car either.
Hot.
Suffer.
Crime goes up.
Craziness comes out.
Hot.

Just build yourself a sweat lodge and wait for the artistic visions.

this weather is making my sinuses explode.
I want to lodge a formal complaint.

I just kind of naturally want to curl up with a book when the weather gets cooler in the fall... get all introspective, sharpen my pencils, laze over a cup of hot coffee out on the porch in a sweater, theorize about the Asian economy.... real brainiac weather. The kind of thing that makes school start, ya know?
This hell-blast, on the other hand, has completely lobotomized me. Every mote of organizing energy has been completely sucked out of my brain. Duh?! It's a purposeless reverie of corn pollen and exhaust. My heart is beating way too fast and I can't sleep. Yuck!!

Yep manatee, I'm with ya. The heat passes 90 and for some reason my acid reflux acts like the heat is actually drawing fire into my throat and my nose feels like I crammed legos in it.
I think I've filled out every personality test I've ever taken saying I've never considered suicide, but I would fling myself off a small plane into the vastness of the South Pole right now just to be cool for a second.

Yeah, no AC in my car either. Normally it doesn't bother me (been out about 3 years now), but when it gets into the high 90s like this, with a high humidity... ugh.
I'd take cold over hot any day of the week. I do enjoy having all four seasons, but I don't need Summers to be QUITE this miserable.

What do you think about a personal-sized pool? More of a trashcan than a baby pool... the executive models would come with climate control. Although executives may have funds for A/C and real pools.
Manatee gave me this idea with something she said at Pecha Kucha.

My little section of the MV/GV area just went all white trash and made ourselves a pool out of 5 kiddie pools for the dogs...but the people ended up enjoying it more.

I'm going to put a collection together to raise money for a mist tent in your house coremodels.

I feel so bad for the little kid-os that come into my workplace barely able to breathe because of the heat... this little dude came in and he was wheezing so bad, then when he started talking to his dad he had a terrible speech impediment... hope he had air conditioning at home, being outdoors in this heat was not in this kid's genetic programming.

Motherloving creamy ho's and roneys it's hot.
Of course, it could just be that gigantic batch of homemade tomato sauce boiling away on the stove-- it's not rocket science but...
In a giant pot...
1/2 c olive oil
2 onions chopped
2-10 cloves minced garlic
Saute on medium until onion is almost clear, add
1 teaspoon oregano, basil, parsley, fennel, and a bay leaf or two, and
a whole crapload (4 LBS) of tomatoes which have been chopped up.
Bring to a boil, then simmer on med-low for an hour until the smell drives you crazy.
If you want fancy, first blanch the tomatoes to remove the skins, then take out their seeds and puree. But who needs fancy?
Then freeze that shit in double bags and take it out in January when you need to feel some August heat... not like now.
