On December 4th, 2011, Kelly Cousins (part-founder of State Line t-shirts and previous assistant Director of the Mahan Gallery in the Short North) is traveling to Las Vegas to run her first half-marathon with Team Challenge Columbus in order to raise money and awareness for the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America. Kelly was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease when she was 17, and recently had more than a foot of her small intestine removed due to the disease. She is running to raise money in hopes of finding a cure for the 1.4 million American's who suffer from Crohn's and Colitis. It has become her mission to speak up about Irritable Bowel Disease in order to help others who may recognize symptoms but lack the direction to follow through with digestive care.
Please join Kelly on Thursday, November 10th, 2011 at Mikey's Late Night Slice in the Short North (1030 N. High St., next to Bodega) between 8PM-3AM to help raise money- 10% of all sales will directly contribute to the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America.
