Has anyone else noticed that Dublin, OH has cops lined up everywhere and just seems to be a giant speed trap? The city collected more than $66 million in income taxes in 2009, why do they need extra revenue from speed traps? I hate driving but I especially hate driving in Dublin. Suburban crappy sprawl, speed traps and endless congestion - what a shit hole. I guess they do have two square blocks that are kinda livable along the river though.

I never cared for Dublin. It's pretty horrid, and driving anywhere up there just makes me rage.

Agreed that Dublin is one giant speed trap. Even the parts of 270 that pass through it. To be fair, it's not the only place in town where the cops seem to exist only to enforce traffic violations.
I don't feel hate towards the place, but it isn't exactly an appealing place to me either.

LOL. Yes, they do set a lot of speed traps there. The Rings Road overpass on 270 is 35mhp. It very easy to get going faster down the hill. For a while, they had one of Dublin's finest clocking you going down the hill and pulling you over....
Really, what else are they supposed to do to pass their time....there is no crime is Dublin, right?

I'm seeing a great marketing campaign that contrasts eating and shopping in Dublin vs. The Short North.
Why eat and shop in Dublin with its high priced speeding tickets, when you can eat and shop in the Short North and all you'll get is a little parking ticket.

*grumble*
...
ok, the soyriso wasn't bad... ;-)Hey don't blame the soyrizo for the suckage of Dublin. It can't help it. And I go to the Trader ho's at Easton anyway...'cept for maybe once a month when I wanna hit up the giant Whole Foods.
So whatever. The moral is soyrizo = awesome. Dublin = punch in the crotch.Posted 2 years ago # -

They have a TJ's in Dublin?Between the Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Anderson's, and the Indian grocery store on 161, there's some fine shopping to be done out there.
I know. Getting around that traffic clusterfuck will about make you want to cut someone, but once a month I do manage to hit up that cluster. I haven't checked out the Indian grocery. I'll hafta put that on the list.

On everyone else, glad I'm not alone. I don't know how many accidents are almost caused by people slamming on their brakes. Pisses me off because they actually make it more unsafe, solely to raise revenue, which they don't need.

Oh, and in season, there's a produce stand in the parking lot of the golf supply store.
