Don't get me wrong. I'd love to see Sears relocate to Downtown Columbus. I'm just not going to hold my breath in the meantime.

the columbus commons with a 4000 space garage attached to any new building(s) would be a prime location for any massive office complex..although much of the park would have to be used for buildings large enough to hold so many workers.i think right now downtown needs the the infill of buildings more than the commons park

This is so frigging amazing. A downtown with a grocery store! WOW! Stop the presses. Pathetic.

I remember Columbus of the 1960s when you had great stores like Lazarus, Madison, The Union, and Lynn Jewelers. You had parking garages everywhere that were not expensive. Downtown was someplace exciting to go. Then it fell into decline. The mall played a role in this, but there were other factors.
I hope that downtown continues to grow and offer more stores and services.
