If you can only make one parade in Columbus, Doo Dah is my top recommendation! There's nothing else like it.

Glad folks loved us as the Ghostbusters. I know we weren't as "wacky" as most of the other entries...but figured folks would stil love it. @AmyJ, never thought about water...but at one point had considered spray silly string. :D
Had a great time, our first year at Doo Dah.

I have to say, with how blazing hot it was, mad props to anyone in a full on costume, especially with elaborate makeup - I'm looking at you, zombies!

The judges near the end of the parade- what was everyone's impression of them?
Anyway, I kinda liked the Governor's Inmate ones & The Arizona Vikings (sounds like the name of a team, hehe) vs. Border Patrol. The judges were enjoying their right to bring handguns into bars. It wasn't very evident, but topical and funny when digested. This was the first year TheMissus rode a bike with the trailer with pedals to the parade-the 9 year old pushed her and really helped.
I was hoping Lew was there doling out taint punches to all the hypocrites protesting the oil spill by driving an internal combustion engine through the parade...
It was the first year I've seen anybody giving kids candy, but it was also the first year I wasn't drinking at the parade, so it could just be my memory (or lack thereof)Posted 1 year ago # -

Had a great time, our first year at Doo Dah.You guys should consider adding a "ghost" next year, like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. Or even Slimer!
BTW, Doug E. Fresh's "Spirit" was an awesome marching theme.

BTW, Doug E. Fresh's "Spirit" was an awesome marching theme.I tried! LOL I contacted a few friends who were interested to see if they wanted to run around in white sheets as ghosts...but they all flaked on me.
Spirit is one of my most fav songs from the GB sountracks. :D

I would personally like to thank everyone who makes Doo Dah possible. Doo Dah is starting to become more popular than Oprah's book club
