Great Doo Dah this year!
This was also my first Doo Dah & my first Chili sighting!

Bonus, after he went around to my group and had his picture taken by everyone, he came back over to me, gestured for my hand, then sniffed my palm for several seconds. I took it as a complement.
Another great parade.
That baby mask dude freaked my kid out majorly. We happened to be standing near him at one point watching the band and my kid dove behind me with a quickness. Ha.
The piercing pull thing made me cringe, but it was super impressive.

i just talked about their pull with jared when we crossed paths at buckeye donuts. he said they pulled for over 2 miles. i don't know if that's the parade route or what, but that's pretty fucking hardcore.
2 miles sounds about right for the parade route. Pretty damn impressive!
Nice! Via Facebook:

oh awesome!
The crowd seemed a little bigger this year, probably because it was 95 degrees last year. I had to get creative while taking pics since the crowd was bulging out into the streets so much. The "insecurity" staff actually had to get a little serious and yell at viewers to move back. Spent an hour standing on top of a trash can just to get some decent pics. The madness was glorious.
OMG! had a blast yesterday, too much fun! glad the lift never tipped over...

Have to say I kinda agree w/ the "taxes are, like, bad" message on the side of that Tea Party truck in the Doo Dah parade. Let's face facts. Schools, roads, libraries, water mains, sewers, police depts, fire depts, health depts...Well all that is just stuff that commie pinkos want. I'm a rugged individualist who doesn't need government.
Doo Dah is always a spectacle whether it's 95° or pouring rain! Usual spottings include Clili Al (first for Twixlen), keyboard playing bike guy (dressed as Sen. Weiner this year) and Uncle Sam & his round bike. Eye poppers this year include baby face guy (nice pic Coy) who had most everyone laughing, Chris Sherman's big tool, and the Evolved body piercing tow lines.
