It seems like Pinterest is everywhere I look lately.
Are you using Pinterest?

I set up an account, played around with it for 15 minutes, and haven't really been back. Not my thing, I guess.
don't have time! ;)

Pinterest Hits 10 Million U.S. Monthly Uniques Faster Than Any Standalone Site Ever
Initial thoughts: Meh, makes me want to giggle like an 11 year old school girl, interface is too busy, needs more food trucks, DB factor potential seems high.
Yup - I've been using it mostly as a bookmarking service. It's especially handy for little crafty projects/house ideas - which is admittedly much more lady-centric. There have also been some fun food stuff that I've pinned for much the same reason - a bookmarking.
We won't mention the snark board (which is the funnest) I pin to. It's kind of comedy hour for design/visual nerds.
Hm. Link in that last no workie?
chuck norris can scroll to the bottom... but i dunno... all i see is whitties and tiskeys on the net anymore.

Yeah, it has been crazy to see it grow so rapidly. I imagine that will continue to be the case as internet users in general continue to rise. Sort of like how box office records continue to be broken at the theater and music artists continue to break sales records. ;)
nope, but I can see why it is so popular, people like to buy things, people like to talk about themselves, now people can talk about what they want, so it meets the need to focus on themselves, and the desire to spend money on stuff and feel pretty. Totally fits the me, me, me, model that works very well on the internet.
My wife loves it. I think she likes the pretty pictures :)
Great for recipes. I've made about 10 things so far that I've found via Pinterest.
I visited the site and was pretty sure I saw something in the end user license agreement about surrendering my penis, so I clicked away.
I'm in.

I agree with this. My wife has found some good recipes and good ideas on there. She found a recipe for making only 4 chocolate chip cookies which was pretty cool because we could make them, eat them, and be rid of them...no more snacking on cookies for days on end :)

Darling social media site Pinterest is taking heat after being revealed to have made a practice of embedding tracking code into links users post on their “boards” to generate revenue. Blogger Josh Davis made the big reveal. According to the his blog LL Social, when users pin to an e-commerce site that has a business relationship with Pinterest, a bit of tracking code (usually something that looks like /?AF33 or /#AF33 where the numbers are unique to the affiliate) gets tacked into the end of the link. This tracking code allows Pinterest to track purchases on that “pinned” item, resulting in a payout to Pinterest from the e-commerce site.

I have to say my wife got me hooked on it. For DIY projects around the home it can be a good resource. This is an idea we found on pinterest and used in our home for a scarf rack.
