Just posted my photos of our first brunch at Dirty Frank's!
Nice pics, Nick! I had my first taste of the Dirty Brunch last Saturday, the day before Mother's Day, and enjoyed the food and the new morning vibe. I mentioned Mother's Day specifically because I saw several families come in that Saturday, have a great breakfast, enjoy their time without fussing and went on their merry way. A family of four sat next to me at the bar and really enjoyed their morning. Their little boys felt so proud to sit up high with the adults. From what I observed, Saturday and Sunday morning is an ideal time to hit up DF's with the little ones.
For my breakfast, I ordered the Ohio Scramble with the crispy tortilla chips, biscuits and gravy, and Stauf's house coffee.

At a mere $7, the Scramble plate is a good value with plenty of spuds to fills the belly. The scrambled egg with corn is tasty with the accompanied house fried tortilla chips. Some cheese on the scramble would be nice. To make this Ohio Scramble complete, I'd love to see some local hot sauce (Ronz Original, Montezuma brand, Cajohns, etc. on the table). The Sriracha is good but not an Ohio based product. I mentioned this to Harold the other day, so maybe Chuck, Ronald or John can drop off a few samples for the LaRue's to taste. :]
The biscuits and gravy were also a great value at $4, with plenty of gravy to fill the belly. The biscuit was soft and buttery. The gravy with tasty with hints of pepper, but a little heavy handed on the salt. A little less salt would be great.
The Stauf's house coffee, made by the local coffee roaster, was not just delicious, but memorable in the random thrift store mug.
Service was as prompt and friendly as ever, this time from one of Liz's BFF designers. How cool.
As I enjoyed my meal before I went to work that Saturday, all I could do was look at all the cool microbrew and hipster beers on the shelf and enjoy my coffee.
