Dirty Frank's was the place to be this afternoon, the whole Betty's Family of Restaurants gang was there including Carmen Owens/SG, Tim Lessner/TT, Amy Brennick/BFR COO, Mom and Dad Lessner and of course Elizabeth and Harold. Tonya, BFR head chef and menu development chief, deserves a special shout-out. She's a real star and she's also super cool. Brisket hot dogs, corn salad, mac & cheese, fried leeks! I love you, Tonya.
I hope everyone left big fat tips for the excellent staff. This little quarter of downtown sure needed a hot spot like DF. South 4th Street is a different place starting today, good stuff. I understand the 4-6 PM meter restrictions will be lifted soon and DF will open a sidewalk cafe too, with outdoor tables. YAY Harold, congratulations on a kickass Day One.

Woke up from my food coma a little while ago. Boozy slushie was all I could have hoped for and more. Sauerkraut dog was so good. That fried leek thing has surpassed eggplant fries as my fav BFR side dish. Wonder if the crowd has died down. I'd totally go back right now.
