The Hegemo wrote Udipi on 161 does a real interesting all-vegetarian lunch buffet.
The Thai places down on Refugee Rd (Bangkok and Pad Thai) both have veggie options as well.
Gah, didn't read the original post closely and now I see you specified not Indian or Asian.
All three of those places do rock, though.

There is going to be a new raw foods vegetarian restaurant on riverside drive soon [http][/url]
I really want to open an ayurvedic cafe! Vegetarian and non-vegetarian delights. I love spinach lasagne too...

This is an old post...but here's a bunch of reviews and pictures of vegetarian dining in and around Columbus.

Many of my vegetarian/vegan friends are just plain bad cooks. If you learn how to cook basic pasta--not from scratch, just a decent readymade pasta, nothing fancy, DeCecco will do--you can make a million dishes. Yesterday I made shaved Brussels sprouts with toasted garbanzo beans and WW fettucini. When making food with only a few ingredients, those ingredients have to be very good. Buy decent parmesan and a good olive oil. Makes a huge difference.
When you can cook, going out for food gets tiresome.

Yes, I agree.. I like Udipi, most of the food items are either steamed or less fried! That's south-indian cuisine which is predominantly rice-based. Also, I used to like Sherepunjab (a north indian restaurant), but I believe they went out of business.. I also like Pizza bono, they have some really good and unique veggie pizzas which are similar to avalanche pizzas located in Athens. Not sure if Avalanche has a franchise in Columbus though.

Another quick tip: you could ask to replace meat with any veggies/tofu on the menu listing of most restaurants at no extra cost! I do that all the time.
