DINE ORIGINALS WEEK! PLEASE JOIN US!

During the week of Monday, November 8th Ã¢â‚¬â€œ Sunday, November 14th, Dine Originals Columbus restaurants will feature specially designed menus fixed priced at $10, $20 or $30.

Lunch or dinner Ã¢â‚¬â€œ you choose! This is YOUR opportunity to sample unique menu features, enjoy a new restaurant or revisit a favorite! Celebrate, support and enjoy our locally owned and operated independent restaurants.

We would love to see any CUer's during Restaurant Week. Especially everyone that came out for our CU happy hour last month.

Please note on the Dine Originals menu, there is currently a typo for course two that might suggest that it is $2 - as much was we would like to honor that good of a deal - we can't.

For those of you looking for something to do the Friday after Thanksgivinng, come in for our Clarmont Bloody Mary (and Mimosa) Breakfast Club.

Mozart's looks equally as awesome:

AFTERNOON TEA FOR TWO - $20 for TWO

FIRST COURSE
Assorted miniature scones served with fresh devonshire cream

SECOND COURSE
Six canape sandwiches including curried chicken salad, smoked black forest ham with baby swiss cheese, fresh tomato with thinly sliced provolone cheese, cucumber with dill, smoked salmon with cream cheese and capers, grilled portabella mushroom with cream cheese

THIRD COURSE
Vanilla Petit Four, Mini Cheesecake with Fresh Fruit, Chocolate Petit Four

Assorted loose leaf teas are served with all three courses

I think I've got my choices picked out for the week. Clarmont & Mozart's for lunch and another places for dinner (a surprise for the Mrs.). ;)

I wrote about some of my picks here.

There are some tempting lunch options including Tasi, Cafe Corner and Deepwood.

I'm hoping to try the pork tacos at Katalina's and the dinner menu at Skillet looks so good I might have to go there more than once.

We had a braised chicken thigh to taste on the short north tour yesterday. If it's the same as the braised chicken on the Rigsby's Dine Originals menu then I highly recommend it. Basi Italia's menu looks good too.

I'm off today and tomorrow. So far the line up looks like this:

Monday: Lunch at Worthington Inn, Yummies from Pistachia, Dinner at G. Michaels.

Tuesday: Lunch at Katalina's, Yummies from Pistachia, Dinner at the Top.

Just hit up Mozart's for lunch today! Good stuff! A lot of food for $10 per person and a great way to sample a lot of different items:

Basi Italia's Dine Originals week menu has changed. Here is the new version

Arugula and roasted pear salad

Rototo di pasta stuffed with spinach and ricotta

Vanilla bean creme brulee

I think all of the dishes that were on the original DO week menu are on their regular menu.

Enjoyed a great dinner at Figlio last night. I ordered the chopped salad, beef tenderloin, and warm walnut apple cake. The salad and tenderloin were fantastic. I also enjoyed their take on a Cosmo, which was one of their drink specials.

Figlio is one of my Columbus favorites, and they did not disappoint last night!

So lunch yesterday ended up being at The Clarmont. The sliders were really delicious. I also got a bowl of really good old school French Onion Soup. The $10 offering from Pistachia Vera is ridiculously yummy.

Dinner at G Michaels was simply outstanding. I had the Pork Belly appetizer and it ties with Sage's pork belly as my favorite appetizer.
I also had the Quail and it was cooked perfectly. There's a lot going on on that plate, but the various flavors and textures balanced perfectly.

No lunch today, Lynne isn't feeling so good. But dinner at The Top is still on for tonight. I'll let y'all know how it goes.

We hit The Top last night and had a pretty amazing meal. I almost didn't make reservations for a Tuesday night, but glad I did because the place was *packed* from 6:30pm to 8pm while we were there.

I had the Lobster Bisque and Anne had the French Onion Soup. We both ordered the Prime Rib with Au Jus and Baked Potato on the side. Both had Creme Brulees for dessert. Pretty standard meal as far as steakhouses go, but everything was pretty outstanding. Sort of the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" formula I imagine. ;)

Anyway, a great time last night, and some stellar food for a $30/person fixed price menu.
