There are a lot of interesting sounding menus and some good options for vegetarians and vegans. I'm particularly taken with the drink your dinner option at Alana's.

While I wouldn't go so far as to say some of these are a rip off, the few menus I looked at show no savings or value whatsoever. First of all, while Skillet is good, it's not $30 good especially when I can eat at the Refectory for the exact same price. For for the Surly Girl to be charging $20 for dinner & a cupcake is insulting. If DOC wants its fans to support it, they need to consider tempting us with some real value here.

It is our second wedding anniversary on sunday and we'll be going back to the Worthington Inn where we held our reception. The menu at the WI isn't that exciting to us, so the question is to we hit up the fantastic brunch instead.

I went to Clarmont last time around for their $10 lunch menu and thought it was a great deal for the price:

Also went to Mozart's maybe 2 iterations ago and their lunch sampler for $10 per person is a great deal that lets you try practically half their normal menu in one sitting:

I've never thought the deals were that great as well. In fact, the few times I have gone during restaurant weeks(more happenstance than planning for it) I have never ordered from the special menu. I think what adds to this is we don't eat nor order desert ever, which is normally included in the special menu, i'd rather have a different course or lower price.
