I'm working the polls today (right now, sitting here typing this as a matter of fact) and it's been so very slow. I know there's only one issue on (in Cols), but it still affects our pockets.

I know there's only one issue on (in Cols), but it still affects our pockets.I'm usually very good with voting. But I don't vote for tax hikes in general since I don't own property and really don't feel it's my place to raise someone else's taxes. So for the first time in 5 years, I didn't vote.

True, it raises someone else's taxes, but it also makes a difference for our parks. I feel like, if you go to the park, at all, anytime, you have a vested interest. There are plenty of examples where someone else has made decisions for us one way or the other, so I didn't feel bad at all about raising my landlord's taxes. Because I love the park, yo!

I voted at like 6pm and it was a ghost town.

I voted for Obama.. I hope he wins!

I voted today. There was no one there, and the poll workers said it had been absolutely dead.

Looks like it passed:

I voted today around 10, 10:30am and I was told I was the very first voter of the day. I had to explain to them how the process works.

Yay for the Metroparks!
I voted today before work. I left my house more than an hour early, assuming it would be crowded (I live in the Southwestern S.D. and we had a heavily promoted tax levy on the ballot).
Boy, was I wrong. I was in and out in 5 minutes. I had plenty of time to waste before work.

I voted around 5:30, 6pm and it was just me there. Like L.I. to Buckeye, I live in the SCSD and thought there would be more of a turnout because of the tax levy. Like her, I was in and out in 5 minutes.
Yay for Issue 1 passing!
Yay for Issue 15 not passing! :)Today is a good day.

I went in about 7, and the poll workers said I was only the 40th person to come into my Victorian Village polling place.
I'd almost forgotten, but figured I'd kick myself if I didn't vote.
Took all of about 30 seconds!

Okay, I'm prob. wrong, but if Andrew didn't vote and didnt't know about it i'm prob. wrong. I thought the metro parks issue included an excerpt that handed over the reigns from city to metro parks for bike path clean up?
Am I just smokin something? or did I hear that somewheres figured I had to say somwheres now that i'm not sure if I voted the rights a ways for this ter thing I belvies in. har har...
ETA... as you could tell Yes I voted.

I'd just loaded the dogs in the car to take them for a run when they mentioned the voting on the radio. So I smacked my forehead and went around the block to my polling station. They seemed so happy to see me!
I'm glad the Metro Parks will be getting the cash, but I wish I could have voted for the levy in the school district I work for. It went down in flames.

I voted, and by chance it's at the old elementary school I attended.
I like voting when there's a low turnout, it gives my vote more clout.
+1 for the parks.

I voted around six. A whole bunch of other people showed up right at the same time and the pollworkers seemed really excited about it. When she had me sign the book, it didn't look like too many people had voted yet. This was in Grandview, where there was a property tax renewal levy on the ballot in addition to the Metroparks.

ETA... as you could tell Yes I voted.Metroparks take care of the Alum Creek Trail, from what I can tell. They are the ones plowing the southern end in the winter and patrolling on bike. A good bit of the trail system is cleaned by volunteer effort from the Adopt a Trail style programs.

I voted in the AM. I love running into my neighbors when I go to vote. I thought there was a Columbus City Schools levy, though? Is that in the fall?
Great news on the parks. Too bad about the UA library and suburban schools.

I think the issue with South Western levy’s never passing is because they ask for too much and do it every time an election comes up. If they broke what there asking for down over a span of elections they would be better off I think.
YAY for the Parks !

Went during my lunch hour and I was the only one there. Voted the one issue. Go parks! In three years, I will have a new metro park a block from where I live.

It was kind of strange going to vote and seeing literally one issue in front of me. My voting time from starting the ballot to ending it was approximately 8 seconds, most of which was hitting the 3 different "Confirm your vote" buttons on the electronic machine.
