Real bummer. Not that I want you to draw attention to yourself, but what makes booking a show in CBus so difficult lately? We really don't have a go to place for EDM other than Skully's/Circus.

This was more a matter of the owner not paying the deposit and upgrading the sound system as promised. Even with 200 presales sold completely covering the back end. Personally I've never dealt with something like this.
As for booking. Its been difficult due to Bluestone having a wedding booked on every weekend through November, and Mansion's severe road construction problem. I think it will be better after wedding season and the downtown construction is over.

I'm kinda not surprised as some of the worst/oddest venues I've ever been to have been up off of 161 with most of them long gone. Not fair to lump every concert club off 161 together, but most seem to do as little as possible.
As far as the Quarthouse(Mansion(Karma(Redzone))), the sidewalk seems to be going in soon. Not that I have much faith in the owners/operators of the place. I mean 'Quarthouse'? really? Less hype and more substance please.
I'm assuming Long St. just didn't have the space?

I truly feel for you, James. It sucks so bad working with club owners sometimes. That’s why for anything big I ALWAYS work with contracts. People just can not be trusted to do what they say so often. If you had a contract, PLEASE consider legal action. This not only lost you money on sales, time, flyer, etc but very likely money to the artist (their contracts can be tough on those kinda things) not to mention it could effect your reputation though it clearly seems you personally were not at fault.
